E2O Communications was founded in 1998, and is headquartered in Calabasas, California.  E2O is a leading developer and manufacturer of high-performance fiber optic transmission components for the Storage Area Networks (SANs), Local Area Networks (LANs), Metropolitan Area Networks (MANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), and Access Networks (ANs).  E2O products provide improved system performance, reduced product size and cost, as well as, decreased time to market, and are used by some of the most well known names in the optical networking around the world.  E2O was acquired by JDS Uniphase [Nasdaq:JDSU] in May of 2004.
