Paula Robins, Chief Financial Officer
Paula Robins is Chief Financial Officer of Smart Technology
Ventures III. Prior to joining Smart Technology Ventures, Ms.
Robins worked as an independent financial consultant specializing
in valuations of closely-held companies, lost earnings
calculations in business litigation, and tracing of business
assets. She is a qualified expert in financial and accounting
matters in Los Angeles Superior Court. As a CPA, she was
associated with Price Waterhouse and later served in the Treasury
departments of Long Beach Bank and Tenet Healthcare, where she
handled asset-liability management, interest-rate hedging, capital
budgeting, corporate planning, and investment analysis.
Ms. Robins
is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Stanford University and received
her MBA from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA (www.anderson.ucla.edu).
While at Anderson, she was awarded a fellowship with the
California Office of Economic Policy, Planning and Research. She
also holds the CCM (Certified Cash Manager) and CFE (Certified
Fraud Examiner) credentials. She has given lectures for groups
including the California Society of CPAs, the American Society of
Women Accountants, and Optimist International, and has written
both technical and popular articles on financial, tax and
accounting issues.
